Electric Supplies Online
A live e-commerce storefront for an electrical-supplies retailer, with a deep, technical catalog spanning lighting, circuit breakers, transformers, and dozens of categories in between. As the in-house designer and developer, I organized the catalog for fast discovery, shaped the storefront and merchandising, and kept the customer-facing experience running for a real, operating business.
The challenge
An electrical-supplies retailer carries a deep, technical catalog: breakers, dimmers, transformers, indoor and outdoor lighting, and dozens of categories in between. The job was to make that range easy for a contractor or homeowner to navigate and buy from — on a platform a small team could keep current.
The approach
Working as the in-house designer and developer, I structured the catalog into clear, browsable categories built around how customers actually shop, shaped the homepage and merchandising to surface promotions and featured products, and maintained the storefront and checkout experience.
The outcome
A live, operating storefront that serves real customers across a large product catalog, organized so a shopper reaches the right part with less friction. It remains in active use today.
